John Buckley is a managing director on the municipal trading desk at Piper Sandler. He trades the entire curve, with a focus on California paper. Buckley also leads the desk’s algorithmic trading book.
He joined Piper Sandler when they acquired BMO GKST in 2015. Prior to that, Buckley was a vice president at Cabrera Capital Markets, where he traded and underwrote taxable and tax-exempt municipal bonds.
Buckley graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign at Urbana.
