Kevin Barker

Kevin Barker is a managing director and senior equity research analyst at Piper Sandler covering the mortgage and consumer finance sectors. He has been with Piper Sandler since 2015 after spending several years as an equity analyst covering large/mid cap banks, life insurance, and mortgage finance with Compass Point and FBR. Prior to starting his career within equity research, Barker spent three years at Freddie Mac. He often presents industry analysis and provides insight into market dynamic to Boards of Directors within the mortgage industry. Barker is a frequent contributor to the WSJ, CNBC, American Banker, and Bloomberg. Barker earned his MBA from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and bachelor's degree focused on International Finance from American University.
