Timothy Carty

Timothy Carty is the managing director of Piper Sandler’s California K-12 education finance team and oversees all aspects of the team’s financial services provided to local school districts. Carty has more than 37 years of experience developing and managing general obligation bond programs, certificates of participation and other capital projects financings for school districts in California. He has worked with more than 200 different local school districts and been instrumental in raising over $25 billion for capital projects. Carty is a frequent speaker at a variety of education-related conferences.

Carty received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago and his Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Series 50, Series 52 and Series 63 license.
