Fraud & Identify Theft Reporting

Fraud and identity theft reporting

Do not hesitate to contact Piper Sandler if you notice any suspicious transactions in your account or if any account documents are lost or stolen. Contact your Registered Representative or our Client Online Services team 8 a.m.-4 p.m. CT, Monday-Friday at (800) 268-0656.

If you are a victim of identity theft and need to place a fraud alert on your credit report, contact the toll-free fraud number of any of the three consumer reporting agencies below. You only need to contact one of the three companies to place an alert. The company you call is required to contact the other two, which will place an alert on their versions of your report, too.

The Federal Trade Commission provides detailed information to help you protect yourself from identity theft, and the steps to take if a theft occurs.

Prevention hints

Piper Sandler works continuously to make sure your accounts and information are safe. We will never make an unsolicited e-mail or phone request for any of your sensitive account information, such as password, client ID or account balance. Unless you initiate the contact, do not give out personal information online or on the phone. Here are some relatively simple steps you can take to help reduce your susceptibility.
