Ryan Kaeding is a director in the Piper Sandler healthcare investment banking group with significant experience advising med-tech companies on M&A and equity transactions. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than 40 M&A and equity transactions with an aggregate consideration of approximately $20 billion. Kaeding advises clients across a full range of investment banking services, including sell-side and buy-side M&A for private and public companies, corporate divestitures, spin-offs, IPOs, follow-ons, strategic advisory, private debt & equity placement and convertible debt financing. Kaeding has nearly a decade of investment banking and corporate M&A experience, as well as five years of public accounting, SEC reporting and transaction accounting experience.

Kaeding joined Piper Sandler from Franklin Partners, an M&A advisory boutique. Previously, Kaeding worked in business development for the cardiovascular division of St. Jude Medical. He began his career working in the audit advisory practice of Deloitte.

Kaeding graduated from the University of North Dakota with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and financial management and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. Kaeding was a CFA charterholder (inactive) and a CPA (inactive).
