Teresa Petty-Farris

Teresa Petty-Farris is a vice president in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.

Petty-Farris is responsible for recruiting, managing and training all quality control personnel in addition to developing, implementing and maintaining all quality control procedures. She monitors accuracy and quality of all due diligence reviews, performs post-purchase reviews, and review loan purchase and sale agreements to determine compliance with portfolio characteristics. She performs Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac pool certification and develops and negotiates ARM plan legal document delivery with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. She’s also a project manager leading underwriting and diligence reviews for performing, sub and non-performing residential, commercial and consumer loans related to loan purchase and sale transactions. She monitors and tests computer system enhancements to support technical and analytical aspects of loan portfolio review process.

Petty-Farris was a director and quality control manager at Sandler O’Neill Mortgage Finance L. P. Her experience within the secondary market mortgage industry spans 30 years in a variety of roles. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, Petty-Farris worked for Union Planters National Bank as well as various firms nationwide as an independent contract underwriter/consultant, where she focused on coordinating mortgage loan due diligence reviews with financial institutions nationwide.

Petty-Farris received an associate’s degree in applied science in business administration from Shelby State College. She also attended Memphis State University and the American Institute of Banking. She is a member of the Southwest Tennessee Community College Office Administration Advisory Committee, board member of the ESPN Academy and volunteer/fundraiser for the Porter-Leath Children Center and National Transplant Foundation.
