Chris Collier joined Piper Sandler in 2019 and is a managing director in the public finance group. He has worked in public finance since 1999, providing financial advisory and investment banking services to governmental entities. Collier works with a variety of Missouri and Illinois municipalities on a full range of debt offerings, including general obligation, revenue, lease transactions, tax-increment financings and short-term borrowings.
Collier’s clients include cities, school districts, counties, community colleges, park districts, fire districts and library districts. He is well-versed in all aspects of local government and school district finance and specializes in debt structuring, bond refinancings and capital improvement planning.
Collier graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration degree from Lindenwood University. He currently holds Series 7, Series 50, Series 63, and Series 79 securities licenses.
