Dennis McGuire

Dennis McGuire is a managing director in the Sacramento, California office and member of the public finance group at Piper Sandler. He joined the Piper Sandler local government group in early 2001. Since then, he has successfully completed several hundred financings for a number of public agencies in California and Nevada, across a wide variety of projects and credits.

Prior to joining the public finance group, McGuire worked for the firm's municipal trading and underwriting group. He has worked on a broad variety of both long- and short-term financings including Mello-Roos special tax bonds, wastewater, water, general obligation bonds, general fund leases (COPs and lease revenue), redevelopment and successor agency tax allocation bonds, assessment and reassessment financings.

McGuire received a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Davis.
