Dominic Risso-Gill
Dominic Risso-Gill is a managing director in the chemicals group at Piper Sandler.
Previously, he was a managing director at The Valence Group, focused on M&A in the chemicals & related materials sector. His clients include INEOS, Dow and Arkema as well as numerous high-profile financial sponsors. Notably, he advised on Carlyle’s acquisition of AkzoNobel’s Specialty Chemicals business (now known as Nouryon), which was the largest ever LBO in Europe at the time.
Risso-Gill has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and M&A, and has been involved in over 50 M&A engagements. Engagements have included sell and buy side transactions involving debt and equity raise components, for a broad range of deal values starting at c. $100 million to greater than $10 billion.
Prior to joining The Valence Group in 2013, Risso-Gill worked in M&A in the technology sector, in the UK investment banking team at Credit Suisse advising FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies across a range of products including M&A, leveraged finance and ECM, and at publicly listed property investment company Wichford PLC.
Risso-Gill has a first-class bachelor’s degree with honors in English language and literature from the University of Leeds.
