Jon Hjelm is a managing director and founding member of the Piper Sandler agriculture, biorenewables & cannabis investment banking team, where he focuses on providing corporate finance as well as mergers and acquisitions advisory services. Prior to his current role, Hjelm worked on the Piper Sandler consumer investment banking team providing investment banking and M&A advisory services to companies in the agriculture, food, retail and restaurant sectors.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Hjelm worked in corporate finance for Banc of America Securities as an associate in London and as an analyst in San Francisco and Los Angeles, covering various industries.
Hjelm received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management.
