Matt Morrell

Matt Morrell is a managing director at Piper Sandler. In his current role, he is responsible for raising capital on behalf of the firm’s public finance clients through the private placement market. His sector experience includes state and local governments, special districts, healthcare, education, senior living, commercial real estate, CTL/GSA, government loan programs and tax credit financing. Since joining Piper Sandler in 2008, Morrell has assisted in placing over 1,600 issues with an aggregate par amount in excess of $20 billion.

Morrell has 20 years of industry experience dedicated to direct placements and loan syndications. Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Morrell worked for Marshall Investments Corporation in loan syndications.

Morrell holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.
