William S. Nichols, IV
Will Nichols joined the energy & power investment banking group at Piper Sandler in 2013. He focuses on the energy & power infrastructure and oilfield services & equipment sectors.
Previously, Nichols spent four years at Wells Fargo and worked in Citi’s Global Energy Group, as well as the Mexico City Corporate and Investment Banking office of its subsidiary, Banamex. With more than 12 years in the industry, Nichols has worked on more than 75 successful M&A, strategic advisory and capital markets projects totaling more than $22 billion in aggregate transaction value.
Nichols holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas. He earned his bachelor’s degree with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Colorado. Nichols has served as a director of Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Greater Houston since 2010, supporting more than 750 college scholarships for high school students in the Houston area. He has also served on the board in various officer and committee roles.
