Aaron Dorr is a managing director and head of asset & wealth management investment banking in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.
   
Previously, he was a principal in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P., where he headed the firm’s asset management investment banking practice. Dorr has over 20 years of asset management advisory experience during which time he has advised on M&A and capital raising transactions representing over $50 billion in aggregate. The transactions have spanned the entire industry and include managers of alternative and traditional investment strategies as well as private wealth management companies.
   
Before joining Sandler O’Neill, Dorr was a managing director and head of Jefferies & Co.'s asset management investment banking group. Prior to his role at Jefferies, Dorr was a managing director at Putnam Lovell Securities from 1998 until Putnam Lovell’s sale to Jefferies in 2007. Previously, he worked in the financial institution group for Deutsche Bank from 1995-1998 and held positions at Putnam Investments and Marsh & McLennan Companies.
   
Dorr holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Maryland.
