Alexander Khutorsky
Alexander Khutorsky is a managing director in the chemicals group at Piper Sandler. He is responsible for expanding the team’s coverage of leading private and public chemicals and materials companies.
Prior to joining the firm, Khutorsky was vice president and head of M&A at DuPont de Nemours, Inc., where he was a member of the senior leadership team and instrumental in DuPont’s portfolio transformation, which saw DuPont engage in nearly $80 billion of transactions.
Prior to DuPont, Khutorsky was a managing director at Bear Stearns and Bank of America and, more recently, a partner at The Valence Group. He began his career as an M&A attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell.
Over his 30-year M&A career, Khutorsky has advised public and private companies on over 60 transactions across a wide range of situations including domestic and cross-border buy- and sell-side transactions, contested situations, spin-offs and joint ventures.
Khutorsky received his bachelor's degree, Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Columbia University.
