Andrew Deming
Andrew Deming is a managing director and head of municipal strategy and credit at Piper Sandler. As a member of the specialty finance team, Deming works on structuring, underwriting and distribution and trading of non-rated, fixed-income products. He also assists borrower clients with reinvestment of bond proceeds and hedging instruments.
Prior to returning to Piper Sandler in 2022, Deming was a senior managing director and head of sales and trading at JLL Real Estate Capital. While at JLL, Deming structured and sold over $20 billion in agency CMBS transactions, focusing on financing of multifamily housing. Prior to that, Deming worked as a vice president at a financial software firm that developed an interest-rate derivative application. Deming also worked at Piper Jaffray from 2003-2008, in public finance investment banking and the municipal derivatives group.
Deming graduated summa cum laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato, receiving a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Deming is a CFA® charter holder.
