Austin McGuan has more than 15 years of experience in public finance. Since starting his banking career in 2018, McGuan has served as an underwriter, placement agent and municipal advisor to municipalities, school districts, community colleges and state universities. Before transitioning to banking, McGuan served as bond counsel for more than 10 years at the law firm of Squire Patton Boggs, where his practice focused on serving a variety of municipal issuers, including large municipalities such as the cities of Cleveland and Toledo, K-12 public school districts, and public and private universities. Before his legal career, McGuan served as an assistant auditor of state in the office of the Ohio Auditor of State, where he performed financial audits of various local governments.

McGuan is a graduate of John Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, graduating magna cum laude with a Juris doctorate. He is a certified public accountant (voluntarily inactive) in Ohio. McGuan holds Series 50, 52, 53 and 63 securities licenses.
