Brandon Baumgarten

Brandon Baumgarten is a vice president in the hospitality finance investment banking group at Piper Sandler.

Baumgarten delivers quantitative analysis and transaction support, focusing on complex hospitality debt and equity transactions, as well as advising large issuers nationwide. He specializes in analyzing and structuring debt portfolios, cash flow modeling and raising various forms of capital for hospitality clients, as well as underwriting taxable and tax-exempt debt backed by diverse tax streams. Since joining the group in 2022, Baumgarten has helped finance more than $2 billion in projects.

Before joining Piper Sandler, Baumgarten was an intern for a national real estate firm, Coastal Partners, focusing on the acquisition and development of office and industrial properties.

Baumgarten earned a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis.
