Brent Blevins
Dr. Brent Blevins is a managing director and head of the Missouri K-12 public finance business at Piper Sandler. As a leading municipal bond underwriter in Missouri, he partners with public school districts across the state to fund critical infrastructure and educational facilities.
Blevins is well-versed in all aspects of Missouri school district finance. He specializes in bond underwriting, bond elections, capital improvement planning, budget strategy, debt structuring and refinancings. He began his career in public finance in 2017 at George K. Baum & Co., serving as a managing director until the firm's acquisition by Stifel in 2019.
Before transitioning to public finance, Blevins spent 21 years as a teacher, deputy superintendent and school superintendent. His leadership roles included seven years as assistant superintendent and superintendent at the Forsyth School District, and three years as deputy superintendent and acting superintendent in the Lee’s Summit School District, retiring from public education in 2017. In total, he has served Missouri public schools for more than 30 years.
Blevins received his undergraduate degree from College of the Ozarks and his doctorate in education administration from Lindenwood University.
