Brian Courtney is a managing director at Piper Sandler on the high-yield and specialty finance team. In his role, he manages special district and charter school underwriting. Courtney collaborates with bankers and institutional sales to structure products for developer and investor clients. He focuses on innovative structures and investor preferences in the high-yield market.
Courtney has over 25 years of experience in institutional sales, trading and underwriting across various sectors. He joined Piper Sandler in February 2025.
Courtney holds a bachelor's degree in finance from New Mexico State University.
