Charles Neivert

Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Charles was a managing director for chemicals and agriculture equity research at Cowen and Company beginning in 2013. While there, he was tasked with coordinating the chemical/energy industry collaboration, which was the first on the Street to identify the significance of the shale oil boom and its impact on the US chemical industry. Prior to his time at Cowen, he initiated chemical and agricultural research at Dahlman Rose, which was acquired by Cowen in 2013. He joined Dahlman Rose in May 2009 as managing director. Neivert was also an executive director at Morgan Stanley, where he re-launched the firm's commodity, specialty and fertilizer chemical equity research practice. Neivert also co-founded and was president of New Vernon Associates, an equity research boutique specializing in global chemicals that was awarded Institutional Investor's "Best of the Boutiques and Regionals-Commodity Chemicals" for nine consecutive years. In addition to his equity coverage universe, he also conducted all fundamental chemical industry research on a global level, including the analysis and forecasting of 50 distinct chemicals as well as global forecasting for the major agricultural commodities to drive the equity earnings models. Neivert earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in chemistry and economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
