Gregory Nossaman
Greg Nossaman is a managing director in the Piper Sandler technology investment banking group, where he focuses on the defense and government sector. For more than 25 years, he has advised company owners, management teams and boards of directors on mergers and acquisitions, capital raises and other strategic and financial matters. His clients have included founder-owned businesses, private equity-backed companies and public companies.
Nossaman has advised on more than 200 transactions across the defense and government sector, with experience in defense technology, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, data and analytics, cybersecurity, mission software, C4ISR and technology-enabled government services. These transactions have involved companies supporting critical missions across the U.S. defense, intelligence, federal civilian and homeland security communities.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Nossaman co-founded G Squared Capital Partners, an investment banking firm focused exclusively on defense and government, which was acquired by Piper Sandler in 2025. Previously, he was a senior managing director at The McLean Group and a senior vice president at BB&T Capital Markets | Windsor Group. He began his career at Windsor Group, one of the first investment banking firms dedicated to the government market.
Nossaman earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, where he double majored in mathematics and economics with a concentration in financial economics. He is a frequent industry speaker and author on defense and government mergers and acquisitions and has served on corporate boards in the sector. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 79 and NASAA Series 63 licenses.
