John Mori

John Mori is a managing director in fixed income, leading our distressed debt and special assets group, based in our Greenwich, Connecticut, office. In his role, Mori sources and trades specialized credit products, including distressed assets, trade and insurance claims, reorganized equity and other securities issued by companies facing financial stress, including default or bankruptcy.

Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Mori served as co-head of distressed debt at Oppenheimer & Co. Previously, he was the head of the TD Cowen special assets group at Cowen and Company.

Mori received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Providence College. He serves on the board of directors of Avon Old Farms.
