John Royall, CFA, is a senior research analyst and head of Integrated Oils, Refining, and E&P equity research at Piper Sandler. He joins from J.P. Morgan Securities, where he spent 13 years, including the past three as the lead analyst on the Integrated Oils & Refining team, where he achieved Extel/Institutional Investor Runner Up rank in all three years. Prior to taking the senior role, John was a junior analyst on the same team, which achieved a #1 II/Extel ranking in three consecutive years. Prior to working in equity research, he spent time in both Investment Banking and in Public Accounting. John is a CFA charterholder holds a BS in Finance and an MS in Accountancy from Wake Forest University as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School.
