Kegan Greene is a managing director in the technology group at Piper Sandler and helps lead the firm’s financial technology investment banking practice. Greene brings 15+ years of experience to this role. 

Greene specializes in providing strategic advice to insurance technology, financial software, data analytics and AI-driven companies serving the financial services ecosystem. Greene has advised clients on a wide range of M&A and capital raising transactions, including Betterview on its sale to Thoma Bravo/Nearmap; Mindbridge on its recapitalization and a minority equity investment by PSG Equity; Rev Worldwide on its carve-out acquisition of Netspend from Global Payments; Parkhub on its sale to LLR; The Guarantors on an investment by Portage; HazardHub on its sale to Guidewire; Driveway Telematics on its sale to Earnix; Beyontec on its sale to Apax; Advisen on its sale to Zywave; and TH Lee on its acquisition of Hexure, among others. Greene has also advised on numerous capital raising transactions for publicly-listed and privately-held financial technology companies, including underwritten equity and debt offerings. 
  
Prior to joining Piper Sandler, Greene was a managing director at Jefferies, where he co-led the financial technology practice and was head of insurance technology investment banking. Previously, Greene was a senior financial technology banker at Houlihan Lokey, and its predecessor GCA Advisors; he began his investment banking career at William Blair. 
  
Greene holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in English from DePauw University.
