Kyle Mooney

Kyle Mooney is a managing director and co-head of private markets trading for Piper Sandler. In this role, he oversees Piper Sandler’s private trading efforts while serving as a producing member of the team. Mooney works closely with some of the largest private institutional investors and executive-level employees, having completed hundreds of transactions in various venture-backed companies on behalf of both buyers and sellers. 

Most recently, Mooney was a managing director at Forge Global in the private capital markets group, where he managed a four-person team and was a top individual producer. Prior to that, he spent two years at AllianceBernstein focused on alternative investment offerings.

Mooney earned a bachelor’s degree in financial math and statistics at UC Santa Barbara, and is a CFA® charterholder based in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
