Paul Scansaroli
Equity Capital Markets
Paul Scansaroli is global co-head of equity capital markets at Piper Sandler, where he focuses on originating and executing equity transactions with a primary focus on the healthcare sector. Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Scansaroli was head of healthcare equity capital markets. He has over 20 years of capital markets experience, focused exclusively on growth healthcare companies as well as the institutional/venture funds that invest in the sector.
Prior to joining Piper Sandler in 2019, Scansaroli was a managing director and co-head of healthcare equity capital markets at Barclays where he drove significant growth in the firm’s life sciences equity practice. Scansaroli joined Barclays in 2008 following the acquisition of Lehman Brothers, where he began his investment banking career. Over the course of his career, Scansaroli has raised ~$65 billion of proceeds for clients through over 300 book run equity/equity-linked offerings. Prior to investment banking, Scansaroli spent several years as a CPA in Deloitte’s audit practice.
Scansaroli received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College.
