Ryan Swanson

Ryan Swanson is a director in the Piper Sandler public finance group. He began his career in finance in 1998. Over the past 28 years, Swanson has provided expertise and guidance on more than 500 transactions for Washington state school districts, ranging from short-term bank loans to multiple-authorization, 30-year long-range capital plans. His skill set includes a full range of public finance tools, including debt structuring, financing plan communication, credit strategy, rating agency coordination and post-issuance obligation tracking.

Swanson is a member of the Washington Association of School Administrators, the Washington Association of School Business Officials and the Washington State School Directors’ Association. He graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in botany. He holds Series 50, 52 and 63 licenses.
