Trey Balson

Trey Balson is a director in the services & industrials investment banking group at Piper Sandler. He is based out of the firm’s Richmond office. He is involved in a full range of investment banking activities, with a primary focus on M&A advisory and private equity-backed transactions. 

Balson has worked with companies across a range of industries, including industrial and facility services, transportation and logistics, niche manufacturing and automotive aftermarket products and services. Prior to joining Piper Sandler, he was a vice president in the transportation and logistics investment banking group at Harris Williams. Previously, he led FP&A and corporate development for a third-party logistics firm.

Balson earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Pittsburgh and is a CFA® Charterholder.
