Tripp Griffin

Tripp Griffin is a managing director at Piper Sandler with nearly two decades of middle market experience. Griffin focuses on advising private equity firms, family-owned businesses and corporate clients in mergers & acquisitions transactions. He is a senior member of the Piper Sandler business & industrial services team and has diverse experience across subsectors, including commercial/facility services, route-based services, security, field maintenance, environmental, utility services and safety/compliance services.

Griffin spent six years with Edgeview Partners prior to its acquisition by Piper Sandler. He previously served on active duty as an officer in the U.S. Navy and participated in numerous overseas contingency operations. He initially deployed aboard a destroyer in direct response to the events of September 11, 2001 and subsequently focused on expeditionary anti-terrorism as commander of a Guam-based mobile security detachment that deployed throughout Southeast Asia.

Griffin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
