Zach Bishop
Zach Bishop is the head of the special district group at Piper Sandler. He works with special districts and urban renewal authorities across the nation to raise capital for public infrastructure. In his 20 years of experience underwriting special district debt, he has managed hundreds of transactions for more than $20 billion dollars in principal amount and created multiple new financing mechanisms to unlock early-stage capital for land development.
The special district group is focused on creating attainable housing in the communities they serve and improving the places in which they work. To that end, Bishop serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver and is a founder and former chair of the Metro District Education Coalition. He is past president of the Colorado Municipal Bond Dealers Association and was a board member of MicroVest Capital Management.
Bishop earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Goshen College, and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
