8:00    Arrive at work, check voicemail and calendar, read through emails and to-do list


8:30    Read WSJ.com and Dealbook


9:00    Review valuation work prepared by analyst the night before for upcoming board meeting


10:00    Run diligence call with management team and potential investor


11:00    Begin work on a sell-side confidential offering memorandum—business overview, investment highlights and growth sections


12:00    Meet with managing director and principal to call strategic buyers with updates for sell-side deal


12:30    Lunch at desk while chaperoning intellectual property diligence call


1:30    Work with analyst to update private placement pitch based on senior banker comments; review industry research


2:00    Conference call with client to discuss management presentation for the upcoming road show


3:00    Internal planning call with deal team and equity capital markets; set plan of action for managing process and timing


3:30    Conference call with chief financial officer of sell-side client to review company model


4:30    Write summary of the day’s sell-side deal activity and dataroom requests and forward to internal Piper Sandler deal team


5:00    Check in with all deal teams to review deliverables for clients and next steps for the night and next day


6:00    Mark up changes, grab dinner and continue working on offering memorandum


11:00    Head home
