Seizing Every Opportunity (SEO)
SEO is a nonprofit organization, with a mission to create a more equitable society by closing the academic and career opportunity gaps for motivated young people of color.
SEO Career is the nation’s premier professional development program, preparing high achieving Black, Latinx, and Native American college students for challenging summer internships that lead to coveted full-time jobs. All of this is done through intensive coaching and training to help students succeed, unrivaled metrics and track record as a pipeline for underrepresented, entry level talent in Corporate America and a nationwide talent pool of talented Black, Latinx, and Native American candidates.
Career Exploration Program (CEP)
CEP is Piper Sandler’s hallmark diversity recruiting program: an annual, two-day informational event held at our headquarters in Minneapolis. The program is a pipeline for our summer internship opportunities across seven nationwide Piper Sandler offices. The CEP application process is open to students from all majors and disciplines and is designed to attract high-achieving, diverse candidates, which includes female, Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Asian, veteran, and LGBTQ students.
Piper Sandler MBA Fellowship Program
This program is a competitive scholarship program to provide outstanding Women, Black, Hispanic/Latino and Native American MBA students with a financial award for exceptional academic achievement and a Summer Associate internship between the first and second year of business school.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Council serves as a means for employees to connect with one another to promote a greater awareness and understanding of inclusion and diversity across the firm. With the oversight and support from CEO, Chad Abraham, the DEI Council is co-chaired by James Baker, Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets, and Managing Director in Fixed Income Trading, Joanna Brody. The DEI Council works to advance the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Mission to recruit, develop, include, retain and engage a diverse, high-performing workforce.
