About George Washington Academy
Founded in 2005, George Washington Academy is a K–7 public charter school located in St. George, Utah, currently operating its educational facilities at 2277 South 3000 East. GWA employs a research-based, academically rigorous Core Knowledge Sequence to ensure students meet and exceed the Utah State Core Curriculum. This curriculum is solid, sequential, and specific, grounded in the principle of establishing a national cultural literacy through a broad, common knowledge base. Currently, GWA serves 1,030 students in grades K–7.
