Managing director Patrick Allen will advise hospitals, health systems and payer organizations from the firm’s Chicago office
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 2, 2018-- Piper Jaffray Companies (NYSE: PJC), a leading investment bank and asset management firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Patrick Allen as a managing director within healthcare investment banking. Allen joins Piper Jaffray with more than 20 years of investment banking advisory experience and will be based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Allen was a managing director and co-head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) at Kaufman Hall & Associates, where he advised hospitals, health systems and physician practices, and was instrumental in helping to establish the firm’s M&A practice. Prior to Kaufman Hall, Allen served as director of healthcare M&A at CIT Group and as a principal at Alliant Partners. Earlier in his career, he worked in the investment banking groups at UBS and Lincoln International. Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Santa Clara University and a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in finance, from Loyola University Chicago.
